Do you hesitate before turning the page when the guy next to you on the train is reading over your shoulder? It just seems rude if he’s in the middle of the story.
have a heart! He or she may not be able to afford their own, may have been in a hurry to leave, etc– finish at your pace (maybe) but always offer if you see them looking afterwards when done.
Unless you’re charging him, I say turn the page on your own accord. I don’t think that’s any more rude then him looking over your shoulder without permission. Besides, he missed the part before and after the small part he gets to see, so how worst can it get?
Be guilt-free and turn the page when you damn please! :-)
At that point, I try and mess with the person reading over my shoulder. Turn the pages fast, and skip around a lot. Eventually they give up trying to read it.
But what if he starts reading when you’re in the middle of a chapter? It’s not like s/he really knows what’s going on, right?
Buy your own paper, or wait till I am done and you can have my paper.

It’s strange but true, someone else’s newspaper is always more interesting than your own – even if its the same newspaper.

Why not, we’re just curious and he can read the paper at anytime, he bought it.
