That people look at you funny when you’re thirty-something and reading a comic book on the subway, but if you’re any age and shouting out violent and sexually explicit rap lyrics, people don’t bat an eye.

The former is based out of ignorance, the latter is based out of fear.

There are more 30 year olds reading comics than 10 year olds. I agree with Wilson the latter is definately fear. No one is afraid of the fanboy.

Oh, I don’t know about that. People seem to bat more than a few eyes my way when I start bustin out KRS One songs – then they slowly inch away and call the cops.
You would think with all the popularity of comics and comic movies these days, you’d see some suit on the trolly readin the latest Supergirl!

I’m afraid of bats…and people. So Bruce Wayne – TERRIFIES me.

What you need to do is start yelling obscene junk on the Subway while reading comic books! Just act crazy and they will leave you alone.
